Risa Koizumi is much taller than most girls at school, while Atsushi Ootani is much shorter than most boys. Their obvious height difference and equally combative personalities make everyone treat them like a comedy duo that cannot stop arguing.

At first, they cooperate to help each other pursue separate crushes, only to fail together when those two people fall for one another instead. Out of that shared disappointment, Risa begins seeing Ootani differently. Admitting love for someone she has spent so long teasing proves difficult, especially when he cannot believe that a girl her height could genuinely see him as a romantic partner. Their relationship becomes a battle between pride, insecurity, and an endless supply of height jokes.
