Kyoko Mogami leaves her old life behind to follow childhood friend Sho Fuwa to Tokyo, working constantly so he can build a career as a singer. Then she overhears him admitting that he never saw her as a partner at all, only as a convenient housekeeper who handled everything while he pursued fame.

Kyoko's love turns instantly into a desire for revenge, but Sho laughs and tells her she can never reach him while she remains a nobody. She decides to enter show business and surpass him, only to discover that anger alone cannot make an actress. Through auditions, training, and work, Kyoko begins finding talent and an identity she never allowed herself to develop when her entire life revolved around someone else.
