Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo

Sorata Kanda lives in Sakura Hall, the dorm where his school places students whose talents and personalities make them difficult to manage elsewhere. Feeling like the only ordinary person among a brilliant animator, a gifted writer, and a reclusive programmer, he dreams of returning to a normal dorm.

Then Mashiro Shiina arrives, a world-class artist with extraordinary talent and almost no ability to handle everyday life, and Sorata is assigned to look after her. Living beside Mashiro and the other residents forces him to compare himself with people who have obvious gifts, pushing him to search for a dream he can call his own. Sakura Hall shows him not only the beauty of success, but jealousy, failure, and the painful distance between hard work and talent that cannot be easily caught.
