Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou

Kazunari Usa moves into Kawai Complex dreaming of a quiet high school life away from his parents. That dream collapses immediately when he meets the residents, including a masochistic roommate, an office worker who drinks through her romantic frustrations, and a woman who seems to enjoy provoking everyone around her.

The main reason Usa stays is Ritsu Kawai, the quiet, book-loving girl he falls for almost immediately. Getting close to her is difficult because she prefers novels to long conversations, while the boarding house gives Usa almost no privacy. Amid the daily chaos, the place he first views as a punishment slowly becomes a strange home where he finds friends and a patient chance to build something with Ritsu.
