Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor

Labors, large robots built for construction and heavy industry, have become part of everyday life, and naturally criminals have found ways to misuse them. To handle Labor-related incidents, Tokyo police operate a special unit equipped with Patrol Labors of its own.

Rookie officer Noa Izumi joins Special Vehicles Section 2 and immediately grows attached to her Ingram, which she names Alphonse. Alongside Asuma Shinohara, the dangerously enthusiastic Isao Oota, and the rest of the eccentric unit, Noa faces everything from rogue machines and terrorist plots to incidents that seem almost supernatural. The robots may be advanced, but surviving police work often depends just as much on the messy humans inside them.
