Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike

In a world where civilization depends on aer and the blastia powered by it, young Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo join the Imperial Knights with similar ideals but very different temperaments. Their first major assignment sends them to Ceazontania, where abnormal aer activity is causing monsters to mutate and threatening everyone in the region.

Under commander Niren Fedrok, the new knights discover that protecting people is not always compatible with waiting for orders from the capital. Political struggles delay the help the town desperately needs, while the aer crisis keeps worsening. As Yuri and Flynn face decisions their training never prepared them for, the same mission that forged their friendship begins to reveal the different paths they may one day choose.
