Queen's Blade: Rurou no Senshi

Every four years, the nation chooses its queen through the Queen’s Blade tournament, where any qualified female warrior may compete and lethal weapons are permitted. Leina, daughter of a noble family, has talent but little of the experience needed to survive such a world.

An early defeat exposes her weakness, but she is saved by the mysterious warrior Risty. Their meeting gives Leina the courage to reject the life her family planned for her and set out to grow stronger on her own. On the road toward the tournament, she meets fighters with wildly different motives and abilities, learning that reaching the throne requires more than strength alone.
