Natsume Yuujinchou Shichi

Takashi Natsume no longer sees his ability to perceive youkai as the curse it felt like during childhood. Years of encounters have given him human friends, spirit companions, and a home he wants to protect, with the gluttonous Nyanko-sensei still constantly at his side. The Book of Friends inherited from his grandmother Reiko, however, continues to connect him to unfinished stories.

Returning names to their owners brings Natsume into contact with new youkai, old promises, and memories that reveal unexpected pieces of Reiko's life. Some encounters are gentle and fleeting, while others carry real danger, but each one helps him understand the hidden world around him and the place he has gradually built between humans and spirits.
