Suzuka

Yamato Akitsuki leaves Hiroshima for Tokyo to begin high school and moves into the girls' dormitory connected to his aunt's bathhouse, where he works in exchange for room and board. Before he even settles in, he becomes captivated by Suzuka Asahina, a talented high jumper who turns out to be both his neighbor and a student at his new school.

Suzuka is disciplined, ambitious, and immediately unimpressed by Yamato's careless personality. Hoping to get closer to her, Yamato joins the track team and discovers that he has a natural gift for sprinting. Training gives him a goal beyond romance, but his growing feelings for Suzuka remain tangled with jealousy, misunderstandings, and the pressure of becoming someone capable of standing beside an athlete who takes her future seriously.
