Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu

Kyon gave up believing in aliens, time travelers, and espers years ago, only to meet Haruhi Suzumiya on his first day of high school. Haruhi openly declares that ordinary humans do not interest her, and when she discovers that the school has no club suited to her search for strange phenomena, she creates the SOS Brigade and drags Kyon into it against his better judgment.

The brigade soon includes quiet Yuki Nagato, timid Mikuru Asahina, and perpetually smiling Itsuki Koizumi. To Haruhi they are simply members of the club she formed to chase mysteries, but Kyon learns that all three conceal exactly the secrets she wants to find: an inhuman observer, a time traveler, and an esper. Worse still, Haruhi herself possesses the power to alter reality without knowing it, leaving Kyon to manage both her moods and the stability of the world around her.
