Casshern: Robot Hunter

Humanity's own robots turn against their creators after the supercomputer BK-1 becomes the tyrant known as Black King. His machine army conquers much of the world, leaving surviving humans enslaved or hunted while ordinary weapons prove almost useless against the new rulers.

Tetsuya Azuma gives up his human body to become Casshern, a synthetic warrior built to fight the machines on equal terms. Joined by Luna and the robotic dog Friender, he crosses a devastated world to rescue his captured parents and break Black King's control. Every victory brings Casshern closer to humanity's freedom while reminding him how much of his own humanity he sacrificed to defend it.
