The Masaki household welcomes a new member with the birth of Kenshi, Tenchi's younger brother, but the child carries a destiny far beyond the family's peaceful life. The adults know that Kenshi will one day be sent alone to another world, so his childhood gradually becomes a long preparation involving the Masaki family and their allies from Jurai and beyond. He grows surrounded by affection while also receiving an almost absurd range of training for an ordinary boy, from everyday work and self-reliance to combat and survival.
