Haikara-san ga Tooru Movie 2: Hana no Tokyo Dai Roman

Benio Hanamura has fought against the expectations placed on women in early 20th-century Japan while holding tightly to her love for Lieutenant Shinobu Ijuin. After Shinobu is reported lost in war, Benio tries to build a life through her own work, even as circumstances begin pulling her toward another marriage.

Then Shinobu returns alive but without the memories that once connected him to Benio. The man she waited for stands before her as almost a stranger, and reclaiming their bond is no longer simply a matter of reunion. As Tokyo itself changes around them, Benio must decide how long love can endure when memory, duty, and the future all seem determined to lead them apart.
