Prism Rondo

Lili Ichijoin travels from Japan to early-1900s London to study at the prestigious Saint Thomas Art Academy, carrying both a dream of becoming a painter and a harsh family ultimatum: within half a year she must rank first, or go back to Japan. Talent alone is not enough in a school filled with students from different classes and cultures, each with their own idea of what art should be.

Her attention is drawn to Kit Church, a gifted aristocratic student who seems to live entirely for painting and apart from everyone else. At first they share little beyond their love of the canvas, but Lili’s determination begins changing his world just as his ability pushes her beyond her limits. Through rivalry, friendship, and romance, the academy becomes a place where young artists search for the color they want to leave behind.
