Hakuouki: Reimeiroku

Ryuunosuke Ibuki is beaten, robbed, and left with nothing until the intimidating Kamo Serizawa takes him in as a servant. Ryuunosuke despises samurai and wants no part of their ideals, yet his dependence on Serizawa places him directly among the Roshigumi warriors gathering in Kyoto.

As Isami Kondou, Toshizou Hijikata, and their comrades struggle to establish order in a city boiling with political violence, the alliance between Kondou’s faction and Serizawa grows increasingly unstable. Watching these men from the inside forces Ryuunosuke to reconsider the hatred he carries, even as ambition, brutality, and conflicting visions push the Roshigumi toward the birth of the Shinsengumi.
