Kidou Senshi Gundam 0080: Pocket no Naka no Sensou

Ten-year-old Alfred Izuruha lives in the neutral Side 6 colony and views the One Year War with the excitement of a child who has never experienced its true cost. His fascination becomes real when he discovers a crashed Zeon mobile suit and befriends its young pilot, Bernard Wiseman, who is part of a covert mission to destroy a new Federation Gundam hidden in the colony.

Al does not know that his neighbor Christina Mackenzie is the Gundam's test pilot. As the operation collapses and Zeon's commanders consider a far more destructive solution, Al becomes trapped between two people he cares about who do not know they are enemies. The war he once admired is reduced to one small battlefield, where there are no glorious victories for a child to celebrate.
