Takumi Nishijou is an isolated student whose life in Shibuya becomes entangled with a grotesque series of murders known as the New Generation Madness. His delusions grow increasingly difficult to separate from reality as strange girls, a mysterious online presence, and people capable of turning imagination into physical truth close in around him.

The killings lead Takumi toward a conspiracy centered on Gigalomaniacs and technology capable of manipulating perception on a massive scale. The catastrophe that follows leaves Shibuya scarred, creating the buried history from which another cycle of strange murders will emerge years later.
