Shibuya is gripped by a string of grotesque killings called the New Generation Madness, but withdrawn high school student Takumi Nishijou would rather hide in his container room, play online games, and avoid the real world. Plagued by delusions and the feeling that someone is watching him, Takumi has little interest in the murders until an online user named Shogun sends him a horrifying image.

Shortly afterward, Takumi walks into the exact scene shown in the picture and finds a pink-haired girl standing beside the mutilated victim, covered in blood and calling him by name. From that moment, the boundary between his hallucinations and reality begins to collapse. As the New Gen cases close in around him, Takumi no longer knows whether he is witnessing a conspiracy, losing his mind, or being prepared as the killer's next target.
