Tenmaku no Jaadugar

Sitara loses her mother and homeland while still a child, leaving her alone in thirteenth-century Persia. Fatima, a woman from a scholarly household, takes her in and gives her both shelter and an education that changes how she sees the world. From Fatima's son Muhammad, Sitara learns that knowledge may be the one weapon nobody can take from her.

A Mongol invasion overturns her life again and eventually pulls her into the heart of the empire that took everything from her. There, amid a court ruled by alliances and ambition, what she learned about medicine, numbers, and language becomes a means of survival and influence.
