Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED Special Edition

In Cosmic Era 70, war between the Earth Alliance and the genetically enhanced Coordinators of ZAFT reaches the neutral colony Heliopolis. During a surprise attack, Coordinator student Kira Yamato is forced into the cockpit of the experimental Strike Gundam and discovers that one of the enemy pilots is his childhood friend Athrun Zala.

To protect his Natural friends aboard the Archangel, Kira continues fighting for the Alliance despite belonging to the same people as many of his opponents. As the conflict spreads from space to Earth and back again, friendship, loyalty, and identity are tested while both sides move toward weapons capable of turning hatred into catastrophe.
