Planetarian: Chiisana Hoshi no Yume

After catastrophe leaves civilization in ruins, a scavenger enters a dead city hoping to find something worth the risk. Inside an abandoned planetarium he discovers Hoshino Yumemi, a cheerful service robot who has spent thirty years waiting for another customer. She welcomes him with an enthusiasm completely out of place in the poisoned world outside, only to find that the star projector is broken. The Junker wants to leave before the city's dangers catch him, yet Yumemi's simple determination persuades him to attempt a repair. Beneath a sky nobody can see anymore, restoring one old machine gives a weary survivor a reason to remember why people once looked toward the stars.
