Ritsu Onodera is becoming more capable as an editor at Marukawa Publishing, but working under Masamune Takano keeps dragging his professional life into a past he would rather deny. Takano, Ritsu's first love, has no intention of letting him hide behind claims that his old feelings are gone and openly promises to make him fall in love again.

Around them, other relationships face problems of their own. Manga editor Yoshiyuki Hatori struggles with Chiaki Yoshino's obliviousness and Yuu Yanase's feelings, while Shouta Kisa cannot stop doubting whether he deserves the younger Kou Yukina. Between deadlines, jealousy, and years of emotional baggage, love proves much harder to edit into a clean ending than any manga manuscript.
