3-gatsu no Lion 2nd Season

Rei Kiriyama enters his second year of high school while continuing to climb through the professional shogi world. He is no longer as isolated as before: the Kawamoto sisters' home has become somewhere he can return to, and connections at school and in the shogi community are slowly making him feel like a participant in other people's lives rather than an observer.

Closeness also means sharing their pain. When Hinata faces cruel treatment at school, Rei becomes determined to support her in the way he once wished someone had supported him. At the shogi board, he meets professionals carrying struggles of their own. Through competition and family-like bonds, Rei learns that relying on others does not make him a burden and that strength can mean standing beside someone else.
