After the U20 Championship, Chrono Shindou and his friends are drawn into a crisis that reaches far beyond ordinary Cardfights. Six Apostles appear with the power of the Zeroth Dragons, seeking to gather enough force to revive the Dragon Deity of Destruction, Gyze.

As the Apostles target fighters whose bonds and abilities stand in their way, Chrono, Shion, Tokoha, and their allies are pushed into battles where defeat carries consequences for both Earth and Cray. To stop Gyze's return, the young fighters must trust the connections they have built and confront opponents willing to sacrifice everything for a world reduced to nothing.
