Cardfight!! Vanguard

Timid middle-schooler Aichi Sendou has always treasured Blaster Blade, a Vanguard card given to him years ago by the confident fighter Toshiki Kai. When the card is stolen and eventually ends up in Kai's hands, Aichi challenges him despite having almost no experience. Imagining the battle on the distant planet Cray awakens a confidence he never knew he had.

That first cardfight opens a new world for Aichi. Through Card Capital he meets Misaki Tokura, Kamui Katsuragi, and many rivals, gradually building friendships and sharpening his skills. Yet his strongest motivation remains Kai, the person who once gave him hope and whom Aichi now wants to face again as an equal.
