Darling in the FranXX

Hiro lives in a fortified Plantation where children are raised for one purpose: piloting two-person FranXX machines against the Klaxosaurs threatening what remains of humanity. After failing to synchronize with his partner, he loses the only role he believed gave his life value. Then he meets Zero Two, a horned girl rumored to kill every partner who pilots beside her after only a few battles. When the Plantation is attacked, Hiro chooses to ride with her and discovers he can do what others could not. Their partnership gives him a new purpose but also opens questions about Zero Two and the society that denied its children knowledge of love, family, and the past. The closer they become in battle, the closer they move toward a truth more dangerous than the monsters outside.
