Guilty Crown

After the Apocalypse Virus spread during the Lost Christmas disaster of 2029, Japan lost its independence and fell under the control of the GHQ. Ten years later, Shuu Ouma is an isolated student who avoids politics until he meets Inori Yuzuriha, the singer whose voice he secretly admires and a member of the resistance group Funeral Parlor.

When Shuu tries to help her, the Void Genome enters his body and grants him the power to draw weapons from the hearts of other people. This attracts Gai Tsutsugami, the resistance leader who wants Shuu's ability for the fight against the GHQ. A boy who spent his life avoiding close relationships suddenly becomes central to a national conflict, and his power forces him to place literal trust in others before he can fight beside them.
