Higashi no Eden Movie I: The King of Eden

Six months after preventing a catastrophe in Japan, Akira Takizawa has vanished after erasing his memories once again. His final request was to become the “King of Japan,” and the only clue he leaves Saki Morimi is his phone and a message promising to wait where their journey began. Following rumors and scattered traces, Saki’s search leads her to New York City.

The Seleção game, however, is far from over. Several remaining players still possess enormous funds and competing ideas of what it means to save Japan. Some see Akira as an ally, others as an obstacle that must be removed. As Saki closes in on him, political manipulation and the mystery surrounding his new public image pull them deeper into the unfinished game.
