Decades after nine abducted humans rebelled against the organization that transformed them into cyborg weapons, the world has changed while their bodies remain untouched by time. Most have scattered into ordinary lives until a mysterious Voice begins inspiring coordinated acts of terror and mass destruction.

Joe Shimamura is drawn into visions that connect the attacks to a force beyond conventional politics.
