The third term begins with Ayanokouji and his classmates, now promoted to Class C, sent to a mountain camp for a special exam that mixes rival classes and school years into shared groups. Individual talent is no longer enough; students must cooperate with people they were competing against only days earlier, because the entire group's performance will determine who succeeds and who pays the price.

The most dangerous rule is simple: groups that fail to reach the required score will lose students to expulsion. Temporary alliances, hidden calculations, and tensions between years turn the camp into another battle of strategy. Ayanokouji watches from the background as usual, but each new test makes staying outside the center of the conflict more difficult.
