Baby Steps

Eiichirou Maruo has always approached school with meticulous discipline, filling his notebooks with precise observations and leaving little room for anything else. Worried that his sedentary routine is harming his health, he tries the Southern Tennis Club and meets Natsu Takasaki, a talented girl who openly dreams of becoming a professional player.

What begins as simple exercise soon becomes the first thing Eiichirou truly wants to pursue for himself. Unable to rely on natural athleticism alone, he turns his sharp eyesight, tireless note-taking, and methodical thinking into weapons on the court. Every opponent becomes another problem to study, and every loss another step toward discovering just how far careful effort can carry him.
