Twenty-five years after Vanilla and Coconna built a life together, the couple travels with Gotho through places tied to the battles and friendships of their youth. Their memories inevitably lead back to one absent man: Chirico Cuvie, whose fate has remained distant from theirs for years.

Hoping to find him, the three return to Uoodo. A Red Shoulder Armored Trooper appearing in the Battling arena gives them their first real lead, but following it pulls them into a mystery connected to an ancient prophecy and forces long-separated lives to converge once more around Chirico.
