Soukou Kihei Votoms: Red Shoulder Document - Yabou no Roots

Chirico Cuvie is transferred to Planet Odon and thrown into what is announced as a training exercise for new Armored Trooper recruits. The exercise is actually a brutal live-fire purge designed to eliminate anyone deemed unworthy, and Chirico survives despite entering the battle already wounded.

Only three other soldiers make it through. Their survival draws the attention of Colonel Yoran Pailsen, commander of the feared Red Shoulder unit, who has become obsessed with Chirico's repeated ability to escape certain death. Pailsen's attempt to prove whether Chirico is truly indestructible begins shaping the soldier into a weapon while planting the roots of future betrayal.
