Mushibugyou

Giant insects are attacking Edo, far beyond the ability of ordinary guards to stop them, so the city relies on the Insect Magistrate Office, a unit of warriors with specialized fighting styles. When the famous swordsman Genjuurou Tsukishima is summoned to join, an old injury prevents him from answering, and he sends his son Jinbee instead. The young man arrives in Edo with an unbreakable samurai spirit and far more enthusiasm than experience, joining fighters unlike anyone he has known against threats larger than he imagined. Jinbee is determined to atone for an earlier moment of cowardice and treats every battle as a chance to become stronger. Yet protecting the city demands more than courage, especially when the insect attacks begin to reveal a pattern behind their appearance.
