Two years after losing their parents, the four Yuzuki brothers have become a family that depends on itself for everything. Hayato, the eldest, works tirelessly to keep their home together; Mikoto is calm and capable but hopelessly protective of Minato; Minato is emotional, energetic, and prone to trouble despite his good intentions; and Gakuto, the youngest, is a first-grader who often seems wiser than everyone else. School, work, neighbors, and memories of their parents continually test the balance they have built.
