Digimon Adventure tri. 1: Saikai

Three years have passed since the gate to the Digital World closed, and Taichi Yagami's childhood group is slowly drifting apart as high school and the future pull everyone in different directions. Taichi himself cannot decide where he is heading, even as his friends seem to be moving ahead.

Then Kuwagamon suddenly appears in the real world, disrupting electronics and dragging Taichi into a chase across the city. His old Digivice awakens and Agumon returns, reuniting partners who thought their battles were behind them.

Other Digimon soon reappear as well, but the reunion brings troubling questions. Strange distortions are spreading, the Digital World remains out of reach, and new transfer student Meiko Mochizuki seems connected to a mystery that the reunited Chosen Children do not yet understand.
