Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki

College student Hana falls in love with a quiet man and eventually learns that he is the last descendant of a line able to transform into wolves. She chooses to stay with him and they have two children who inherit his nature: Yuki, born on a snowy day, and Ame, born in the rain. When their father dies unexpectedly, Hana is left to raise two children whose very existence cannot safely be explained to doctors, neighbors, or strangers.

She leaves the city for the countryside, hoping to give them enough space to grow without constantly fearing discovery. As Yuki and Ame become older, each develops a different relationship with the human and wolf sides of their identity. Hana cannot choose their paths for them. She can only build a home strong enough to let both children discover for themselves who they want to become.
