Sayonara Lara

Two hundred years ago, the mermaid princess Lara broke the laws of her world and went ashore for a human prince she loved. A spell gave her a human body and one chance at true love, but the wish failed, and the warning attached to the magic came true: Lara dissolved into sea foam and disappeared into the ocean.

Now Lara awakens again in modern Japan, inside Lake Biwa, far from both the sea and the world she once understood. What was a tragic romance two centuries ago becomes a second chance in an age whose technology and customs are completely unfamiliar. She is still searching for the love she once risked everything to find, but her new life raises a different question: must she repeat the same story to earn a better ending, or can she begin one that no one has already written for her?
