Gake no Ue no Ponyo

Five-year-old Sosuke discovers a tiny goldfish trapped near the shore and rescues her, giving his new friend the name Ponyo. Their bond forms almost instantly, but Ponyo is no ordinary fish: she is the daughter of the sea-dwelling sorcerer Fujimoto, and her fascination with humans soon becomes a determination to live as one of them. When Ponyo uses magic to return to Sosuke in human form, the power she releases throws the sea and nature out of balance, bringing violent tides and a massive storm. As the world around them changes, the simple promise between two children becomes central to Ponyo's fate and to restoring harmony.
