On her first day at her father's small agency, Tsumugi Takanashi is unexpectedly placed in charge of 7 boys hoping to become idols. Her father asks her to keep only 3, believing 7 performers will be too difficult to manage, but a quick audition convinces Tsumugi that the group's appeal comes from the way their different personalities work together. She refuses to cut anyone, and the 7 debut as IDOLiSH7. Training, live performances, and stronger rival groups soon test them. Tsumugi must help 7 distinct talents find a shared identity, while the boys learn that individual ability alone cannot create a group audiences want to support.
