Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun

Kamome Academy is famous for seven supernatural mysteries, the best known being Hanako-san, a ghost said to haunt the girls' bathroom and grant wishes. Nene Yashiro summons the spirit hoping for help with romance, only to discover that Hanako is not a girl at all but a cheerful boy ghost carrying a knife and a past he rarely discusses.

Once Nene becomes entangled with the supernatural, she starts assisting Hanako in controlling rumors that reshape strange beings and give them dangerous new powers. Every school mystery has rules and a price, and the boundary between humans and spirits is far less stable than she expected. As Nene tries to understand Hanako, she learns that the ghost maintaining the school's balance committed a terrible act while alive and cannot escape it even in death.
