Ajin Part 1: Shoudou

Kei Nagai is struck by a truck and rises from the road moments after dying, revealing before a crowd that he is an Ajin, one of the rare immortal humans feared by society. Government agencies immediately begin hunting him as a specimen whose body can be killed and tested without limit.

Kei flees with his childhood friend Kaito while learning that regeneration is not his only unnatural ability. His escape draws the attention of Satou, an experienced Ajin whose offer of solidarity conceals a violent plan that could turn persecution into open war.
