Tokyo Ghoul

Ken Kaneki is a quiet college student in Tokyo until a date with Rize Kamishiro reveals that she is a ghoul who feeds on humans. Their encounter ends in disaster, and Kaneki's life is saved by transplanting Rize's organs into his body. He wakes to discover that normal food disgusts him and that he now carries a ghoul's hunger and abilities.

Trapped between two kinds of people who hunt each other, Kaneki tries to hide his transformation and cling to his old morality. The ghouls of Anteiku teach him how to survive without abandoning himself, but anti-ghoul investigators see only another monster. Every step toward accepting his new existence pulls him deeper into a conflict he never chose.
