Steins;Gate

Rintarou Okabe calls himself a "mad scientist" and runs a tiny Akihabara laboratory with childhood friend Mayuri and hacker Daru, building future gadgets that are usually useless. Their strangest experiment is a microwave connected to a phone, which they accidentally discover can send messages into the past.

At first the ability feels like a game of small changes, but each message reshapes the present in ways only Okabe remembers. With scientist Kurisu Makise joining the research, the group realizes their work has attracted a dangerous organization pursuing time travel. When altered timelines begin demanding brutal personal costs, Okabe is forced to move through different possibilities in search of a future where the people he loves can survive without someone else being sacrificed.
