Ajin

Kei Nagai is a serious high school student focused on becoming a doctor, and the immortal beings called Ajin are little more than a topic from the news to him. That changes instantly when a traffic accident kills him in public and his body gets back up. Kei is an Ajin, and under current law that makes him something to capture rather than a person to protect.

With authorities and bounty seekers closing in, Kei runs before he has time to understand what his new existence means. His childhood friend Kaito risks everything to help him, while other Ajin watch Kei for their own reasons. Immortality may keep his body from staying dead, but it offers no protection from imprisonment, experimentation, or the choices demanded by a world that no longer regards him as human.
