Ookami to Koushinryou: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf

Traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence spends his life moving from town to town, trading goods in the hope of one day earning enough to open a shop of his own. In the village of Pasloe, he discovers a girl with wolf ears and a tail sleeping in his wagon. She calls herself Holo, the Wisewolf once worshipped for blessing the village's harvests. As the people have grown less dependent on her, Holo now longs to return to her distant homeland in the north.

Lawrence agrees to take her along, forming a partnership that combines his business experience with her sharp wit and centuries of knowledge. Between profitable deals and dangerous schemes, their journey becomes more than a route between markets, as each finds in the other a companion who makes the road less lonely and the eventual farewell harder to imagine.
