Kimi to Koete Koi ni Naru

Mari is running late for school when she meets another tardy student and soon discovers that he is beastfolk. Humans and beastfolk share the same society, but close contact between them is still uncommon and prejudice has not disappeared, leaving Mari nervous and unsure how to act around him at first.

The more she gets to know him, the more those inherited fears lose their hold. Behind his unfamiliar appearance she finds someone steady, sincere, and kind, and her curiosity gradually becomes an attraction she can no longer dismiss. Growing close to someone society still labels as different, however, means their feelings will have to cross boundaries that many people around them are determined to preserve.
