Human civilization ends in an instant when an unknown light turns the entire population to stone. Thousands of years later, Senkuu Ishigami awakens to a world where forests cover city ruins and every modern convenience has vanished. Rather than accept the Stone Age, the science prodigy decides to rebuild humanity's achievements from first principles. Reviving his friend Taiju proves petrification can be reversed, but it raises a larger question: who should return, and what society should be rebuilt? Senkuu wants everyone awakened and every lost science recovered, while others see the empty Earth as a chance to choose who deserves a place in it. With knowledge as his greatest resource, he begins climbing from primitive tools back toward civilization while the cause of petrification remains unknown.
