Chibi Maruko-chan

Maruko Sakura is a cheerful but lazy elementary-school girl growing up with her parents, grandparents, and older sister in Shimizu. She dreams, complains, procrastinates, and gets carried away by whatever interests her that day, usually with consequences she did not plan for. School friends, family arguments, neighborhood events, and tiny childhood disappointments turn ordinary life into affectionate comedy seen through Maruko's wonderfully imperfect perspective.
