Before his execution, Pirate King Gol D. Roger reveals that his legendary treasure, the One Piece, is waiting for whoever can find it, igniting a great age of piracy. Years later Monkey D. Luffy sets sail beneath his straw hat with one clear dream: find that treasure and become the next Pirate King. He is not interested in ruling people or plundering villages; what he wants is freedom, adventure, and the vast sea he imagined as a child.
